We all fall down.

No fancy photo...not here. I learned from this photo. This is the one.

We fall.

Of course we do.

We attempt things knowing there is a chance we might fail, right? We know we can’t always do something perfectly the first try. We know that everything in life isn’t going to go smoothly the entire time we are on this Earth. That’s a given. It’s logical. It’s rational.

So WHY are we so surprised?

I don’t have the answer. If you figure it out, let me know.

I do know this...that’s when we need equanimity and self care most- in the aftermath of the surprise.

We can’t stay in that place of negativity.

We pick ourselves up and we TRY AGAIN.

Or we learn from the experience and make the decision to do it differently.

It’s up to us.

We get to choose.

We wither underneath it, or we grow through it...whatever it is.

Like the lotus, we emerge.

Our true selves.

What’ll it be?

Yoga gives us the tools we need to grow: equanimity, resilience, self love. Join me. Let’s do this. Together.
