Be Present

Do you know anyone who holds onto grudges? Or the past? People? Things? Maybe “should have” or “could have” has them tied in knots? Acting irrationally and obsessively? Have you done this?
Well...we’ve all done this to some extent, right?
Of course we have.
Today I witnessed this type of extreme obsessive anger and non-acceptance of the present moment in someone. Wow. It was strong. And toxic.
Being a witness to those things gives us an opportunity for reflection and contemplation.
Thoughts
Chasing after specific results can be catastrophic to our psyche if we are too attached...too obsessive. It can make us crazy. CRAZY!
Holding on so tightly to something that will never be, or spending our lives being angry and bitter about something that never actually existed, is a waste of the present moment.
“Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have. Make the Now the primary focus of your life.”
- Eckhart Tolle
Yoga teaches us to be purposeful in our efforts, but not fixated on the outcome of those efforts. Essentially, it’s more about HOW we do things than WHAT we are doing. How are you LIVING? Are we living? Or are we just existing? If we are fixated on the past...or the future...we miss it. This moment. The light.
